Dating a kentucky quilt

So that's my run down of how I plan on doing my Temperature Quilt.

I also have the weather for the year and area my son was born and plan on doing a quilt for him.

PRESENTATION ALBUM QUILT (left) Made for the Rev D. Patriotism was also displayed in the lower right hand corner with the appliqud flag showcasing the original 13 stars and bars.

1869 89" x 76" This is a very fascinating presentation quilt representing the honor and respect for Rev D. The block with the date is very unique with the use of branches and leaves creating the date 1869.

The needlework on the presentation block is exquisitely rendered with fine stitches and great pride.

"United States of America August 20th AD 1869" is just another reminder that we live in a great country and quilters before us displayed their patriotism on cloth with stitches.

Another idea I have is using the Pantone color of the year as the borders, maybe Kona Cottons color of the year too since I'm using Kona fabrics for my temperatures.Celebrate the depth of the fiber art experience with special events at Yeiser Art Center, African American Quilts at the Hotel Metropolitan, shopping at Paducah's quilt and fabric shops including Hancock's of Paducah and Eleanor Burns’ Quilt in a Day and so much more. This month I want to get a quilt done for one of my quilty friends from my guild. While in my mind the design is wonderful I can't seem to get it on paper to confirm my vision. I like the motivation it gives me to complete or at least make a good dent in a project. And Patty has rounded up some wonderful sponsors to help motivate people in completing projects! Pat Sloan has two new QALs, A Flower Bouquet and Out Of This World. I've had space themed material for awhile because I wanted to make little T a twin size quilt for his upper bunk and thought an outer space themed quilt would be perfect.
